
Award winning actor and performer Kellita Smith has recently returned to Chicago to host and be the narrator of WTTW's upcoming original documentary, DuSable to Obama: Chicago's Black Metropolis. Smith, who is most well-known for her character Wanda McCullough on The Bernie Mac Show was born in Chicago. Her acting career spans nearly 20 years. In addition to her part on The Bernie Mac Show for more than seven years, Smith has held recurring roles on CBS Nash Bridges; UPN Malcolm & Eddie; FOX Televisions Martin and the WBs Jamie Foxx Show; Sister, Sister and NYPD Blue. Most recent movies include Roll Bounce, a Fox 2000 Film; King Ransom with New Line Cinema; Fox Searchlight Kingdom Come starring Whoopi Goldberg; Marimax The Crossing Guard featuring Jack Nicolson directed by Sean Penn and New Line Cinema House Party 3.
